Sketchbook Assignment: 2D & 3D Arrows

I always struggled with what to give the 6th, 7th and 8th graders as sketchbook assignments. I didn't want to just give them a list of choices and have them hand me in something that took them 5 minutes. I found an awesome resource which had a variety of sketchbook resources, and students examples. You will see that some of these sketchbook assignments I received turned out awesome and the kids loved doing them! Who would of thought sketchbook assignments could be such a great time!?

Kindergarten's Wocket in My Pocket

There's a Wocket in my Pocket! - Dr. Seuss

As a class the Kindergartners were read the book  There's a Wocket in My Pocket by Dr. Seuss. After reading the book and looking at the illustrations students created their own pockets with Wockets peeking out. Students used cut paper and glue for Wockets, along with black paper and white colored pencil for their pocket design.

Brand New to This

It has taken me long enough, but I have decided to hop on the blogger bandwagon seeing as I have found some awesome inspiration for future lesson plans. I am going to try and post lessons and images that I have found to be quite successful in my classroom. Hope some of these lessons inspire you also! :)
